Kingfisher lodge is adjacent to the renowned Mount Falcon Hotel (500 meters) leaving it the closest B&B in proximity to the Award winning Country House Hotel. Kingfisher Lodge is an ideal preference should you be attending a wedding/function at this prominent Hotel.

Kingfisher Lodge is a longstanding family run business situated in an exclusive area of Ballina. This property offers spacious and tastefully decorated accomodation with 5 Guest rooms, all of which are en-suite. A warm welcome and friendly atmosphere awaits guests when they visit the family-owned Bed and Breakfast.

The B&B is an ideal base from which all anglers can pursue their pastime as the residence is situated just a short distance from some of the most idyllic fishing regions in Europe, including the world famous River Moy is renowned for it’s profilic runs of spring, summer and autumn fish and has an average annual catch to rod and line of over 9,000 salmon (one third of the annual Irish catch).

Should you wish to undertake some lake or sea fishing during your stay, Kingfisher Lodge is a model choice with Lough’s Conn and Cullen just a short drive from the residence. Your host Kevin, a keen angler for more than 40 years, will be delighted to share with you his vast knowledge on local fishing, ensuring you gain the most from your angling holiday. Kevin can also assist you to arrange all the necessary bookings you may require and secure the correct permits.

Not alone is the Moy Valley region renowned as a mecca for angling, but also for it’s ardent scenery. Nestled between two mountain ranges, and surrounded by miles of beautiful beaches and rugged coastline, the Moy Valley is rich in breathtaking scenery. With endless forest trails and rugged Moreland just moments from the doorstep of the B&B, the surrounding area is just right for avid cyclists and walkers. The residence is also on the spectacular coastal touring route of The Wild Atlantic Way. This remarkable coastal route stretches for 1500 miles along Ireland’s dramatic western seaboard taking in some of the most enchanting scenery, where land and sea collide. The Wild Atlantic Way is the only long distance marked driving and cycling route in Ireland, nestled along the magnificent Atlantic coast all the way from West Cork in the South to Derry in Northern Ireland. So whether you wish to explore the fascinating West of Ireland on foor, bicycle or motor bike you will have an abundance of touring routes to discover. Kevin is also a keen motor cyclist and will be more than happy to offer his advice on local routes.

After an enjoyable day of fishing or sight seeing, all visitors can relax and enjoy Irish hospitality at its best. Ballina is a lively town, providing a wide cariety of well-acclaimed bars and restaurants and entertainment from discos, traditional music to jazz and it is just three miles away.

Guests are also welcome to relax in the residence’s TV and reading room (tea/coffee freely available on request) or avail of the large paved patio which is surrounded by landscaped gardens during the warmer months.
